Ambit Energy (April 2016 – Jan 2018) Dallas, TX, Senior Analyst under contract to Ntelicor

Primary responsibilities involve providing analysis and quality assurance services to both the Billing and Financial Teams within Ambit Energy. Responsibilities include rapidly learning the work patterns and business rules within each functional area to produce quality test cases while adhering to the practices and standards adopted by QA Leadership. My extensive knowledge/expertise of SQL assisted in accelerating test case execution activities. In addition, partnered with the development team to generate user stories in a scrum setting to facilitate sprint planning. Furthermore, provided direction to other analysts in verifying billing worklflows. Lastly, directly interfaced with the client in a UAT setting to provide assurances that the product delivered met the requirements and quality needed by the business.

JCPenney (June 1997 – June 2012), Plano, TX, Business Analyst

Primary responsibilities include analyzing, estimating, and designing various projects in a team environment using the agile\waterfall methodology. Secondary responsibilities include providing business analysis for a variety of applications at JCPenney’s such as the Barcode Offer Application, Media Grouping Application, and the Markdown Suite of Reports. Senior Analyst (Ambit Energy for Finance: Feb 2017 – Jan 2018): As an analyst assigned to the Finance Team, my role involved learning the business and sequence of events required to create use cases so as to deliver QA solutions to the client. My duties include mastering the related databases/processes that involve: bill delinquency, treatment, disconnect, and bill pay activities so as to properly validate code pushes from the development team. My deliverables involved creating use cases/test plans/test cases and validating Credit/Collection and Treasury enhancements. My role for this particular activity involved completing the following tasks:

- Successfully validated the ComED Payment UI and documented the workflow/functionality within the internal wiki

- Verified and led a UAT demo of the Holiday Management Calendar regarding the scheduling of Treatment/Disconnect Activities for CNC

- Successfully generated a workflow/test cases involving third party verification of bank account/routing numbers used in the Ambit Bill Pay Process

Senior Analyst (Ambit Energy for Billing: April 2016 – Jan 2017): As an analyst for the Billing Team, my role involved learning the business rules, work flow, and technology required to validate the necessary enhancements for Budget Billing within NY/NJ Energy Markets. My duties include understanding the related databases/services/EDI transactional interfaces that facilitate the Budget Billing testing of: data integration to the new Ledger Table, Ambit Product enroll/unenroll activities, usage/invoice assignments for a given service period of an account, and final usage/settlement generation. Lastly, completed the end to end validation activity of the Texas Billing Retention Effort. This activity included the multi-team coordination of end to end integration testing across the following teams: product, billing, and enrollment. My role for this particular activity involved completing the following tasks:

- Communicated the new cancel/rebill verification process flow for Texas Accounts to junior testers

- Worked closely with the client to facilitate successful UAT sessions for billing projects

- Refactored user stories in an agile/scrum session to solidify the user requirements

- Hosting defect triage meetings with development in making the necessary repairs to the impacted code base

- Mapped out the inbound/outbound EDI transaction interaction between Ambit and various energy providers

- Estimated validation activities regarding test planning and execution activities.

QA Test Lead for Reporting/Data Warehouse Functional Areas (Delaware Medicaid: July 2012 – April 2016): As Test Lead for the Management Administrative Reporting and the Data Warehouse Functional Areas of the Delaware Interchange Medicaid Project, my role involved coordinating all activities relating to test case development, peer review management, metric reporting/analysis/interpretation, and test case execution (smoke/regression/functional). Primary responsibilities involved collaborating with key members of the project team (PM’s, BA’s, and Developers) to provide feedback and test case sign-off. In addition, I led a team of two QA testers to assist in QA activities, while providing the necessary coaching, organization, and leadership that enabled our team to provide valuable feedback on client facing deliverables. My role for this particular activity involved completing the following tasks:

- Learning the overall functionality of the Reporting/DW Functional Areas by reviewing the required documentation/shadowing the project team

- Tracking the releases of key project deliverables/dependencies needed to initiate test case execution

- Providing Weekly updates to Senior Leadership in the form of Metric Reports and written/verbal communication

Account Test Data Administrator (Delaware Medicaid: July 2012 – April 2016): As the Account Test Data Administrator for Delaware Medicaid, my role involved software provisioning/design, workflow construction/mapping, team training, and overall management of the test data team. Primary responsibilities involve leveraging my knowledge of health care data analysis in generating a process that’s compliant with the parameters/requirements of Delaware Medicaid and presenting that knowledge to the team. Secondary responsibilities include team building, coaching, and supplying test data to stakeholders for complicated requests that spanned multiple functional areas. My role for this particular activity involved completing the following tasks:

- Ensuring the HIPPA/PHI Compliance across the team regarding the handling of test data

- Designing the Test Data Repository SharePoint Site and presenting the deliverable to senior management for approval

- Learning the overall structure of the database schema through my advanced knowledge of SQL

- Generated a detailed wokflow document that coordinated Test Data Extraction Activity for the QA Team

Media Development/Barcode Enhancement Project (Healthways (HPE): Aug 2010 – June 2012): As the Business Analyst for Media Development, my role involved generating documentation needed by the development team to complete their assignments in a timely manner. Responsibilities include generating Functional/Technical/Detailed Design Documentation required to communicate the process and functionality of a given project. In addition, captured the overall workflow of the core pricing system through use cases in order to assist in designing a replacement.
