Software Engineer- Application Development for a Software Development Firm: Tableau Desktop SME, creating detailed, interactive suite of dashboards developed in Tableau called APM. APM is sold as executive reporting for the Epic and TAM suite of products for the insurance industry. In addition to Tableau development I have been developing the new data views for the MS SQL Server EDW used in conjunction with APM.

Accomplishments – Tableau champion, with in the first two weeks, there was a scheduled release of the product. Performance was so bad that the release was in danger of being scraped. I was able cut the time for dashboard render in half. My next assignment was one that my predecessors said could not be done, while maintaining navigation in Tableau allow for transition from one dashboard in one workbook to another for suite of users of APM. I was able to successfully understand and meet the challenges of changing the underlaying structure allowing the product to move forward in the devested format. To date despite this massive undertaking completed the first of October there have been no reported errors from customers. The next challenge was a changed to the underlaying data structure of APM, reducing the render time and cutting the size of the data set by over 85%. This change will allow for a tripling of the number of users on the same hardware and Tableau Server license.

Software Engineer- IT Marketing & Reporting Systems: Tableau Server & Desktop SME, detailed and interactive Tableau report development, Aster, EDW and other Big Data development, data analyst, SQL reporting expert, technical requirements gathering and .NET ASP application development.

Accomplishments – Tableau champion, maintaining the integrity of the enterprise installation of Tableau Server and creator of detailed and interactive Tableau reports allowing for detailed and quick absorption of data by Executive Management & inspiring Tableau adoption. Recognized as a key player on the spectrum tool team in the over 10 billion dollars transaction. Consensus builder of Tableau User community and launch of COE for Tableau. Tableau report have included an interactive map of the VZW allowing Executive level users to view key matrix quickly and easily – application monitoring – VLSS initiative monitoring – Event (product launch, Black Friday, etc.) impact review & store traffic analysis. Development of an ad-hoc web application to return cell sites within an entered radius and Lat & Long displaying mapping via MapQuest and pertinent site information for quick microwave solution analyses. Detailed business process analysis for overall effect work flow process. SME for Xng application.
