STAFF PHARMACIST, TARGET/CVS
Responsible for daily prescription filling, patient counseling, and immunizations in variety of stores of different sales volumes. Directly responsible for handling and satisfactorily resolving any customer issues that occurred during the shift. Per shift:
-supervised all staff, including any necessary training or coaching; and
-handled any on-going company projects and addressed any new projects sent from corporate.
Managed the physical transition from Target to CVS of multiple stores:
-staffed the stores overnight the night of conversion, making sure all data was transferred and all systems were fully functional for business the next morning; and
-supervised the installation of the equipment and all signage changes and physical alterations of the pharmacy to comply with CVS requirements.
2010 – 2013
STAFF PHARMACIST, WALGREENS
Handled all aspects of the daily running of the pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, counseling patients, and immunizations. Specifically:
-managed any issues arising with either customers or employees and brought them to a successful resolution regardless of store volume;
-trained other pharmacists to immunize to help meet immunization goals;
-dealt with stores ranging in volume, including extremely high-volume stores of more than 400 prescriptions a day; and
-ensured all items needed for the next day were ordered from the appropriate wholesaler.
1994 – 2010
PHARMACY MANAGER, HAPPY HARRY’S/WALGREENS - NEWARK DELAWARE
Managed all aspects of the pharmacy. Highlights:
-directly responsible for hiring and training all new employees;
-handled daily staffing and supervised 10 employees, including ongoing training and yearly evaluations of all technicians and staff pharmacists;
-managed the pharmacy inventory and ensured all out-of-stocks were addressed properly and wholesaler purchases were appropriate;
-retrained and prepared staff and physically prepared the store to ensure a smooth transition when Happy Harry's was acquired;
-supervised the installation of the new pharmacy system in the store and several other stores overnight and helped the morning the systems first went live;
-one of three pharmacists initially certified to immunize in Delaware and worked directly with corporate leadership to roll this program out successfully in Northern Delaware;
-ran flu-shot clinics throughout most of New Castle county and was directly responsible for their successful completion including billing Medicare and other applicable insurances; and
-after additional training, trained other pharmacists to immunize and supported the pharmacists as they began immunizing in their stores.

PHARMACY MANAGER/STORE MANAGER, THRIFT DRUG
Managed all aspects of the pharmacy and front-end operations of the store. Highlights:
-set up and staffed a new retail location;
-trained new employees in all company policies and procedures;
-developed and managed the Grand-Opening events included bringing local media coverage to the store;
-supervised 10 employees in all store departments on a daily basis;
-responsible for continued training and growth of employees and yearly evaluations;
-interacted with all outside vendors and managed ordering and delivery ensuring correct inventory and billing;
-responsible for manually ordering and maintaining all inventory in the store prior to the adoption of an automatic order-replenishment system;
-balanced the books daily and reported all sales data to corporate; and
-implemented and managed the establishment of an automated order-replenishment inventory system as one of five test stores before rollout to the entire chain.
