My role was to run the company’s operations to ensure technical and commercial success for the client and the company. This includes contracting senior technical personnel and commercial deals with clients, subcontractors and suppliers, dealing with government agencies and unions. Responsibilities over safety & environmental compliance and contracts technical analysis, interpretation and implementation engaging company. The operation has 150 men between expat and local technical personnel and labour. Activities include off shore mechanical and piping fabrication and maintenance in existing rigs and platforms, on shore mechanical and piping fabrication, installation including pipelines ranging from 4” to 16”. Field development project from 30,000 to 120,000 bopd. Project follow up of all constructions and maintenance activities on a day-to-day and planned basis using Primavera, MS Project and Maximo for all plant installation, rotary equipment and gas compression, pipeline maintenance 30” and below, and well monitoring.
Supporting two other supervisors in the production of another additional 200,000 bopd API 42 and water injection of 140,000 bpwd from 125 wells with 3 processing plants and water injection system. Assigned by Moody International to OCP Ecuador S.A. (Heavy Crude Oil Transport Company, 500 km long across the Andes) preparing tender documents for all contracts of OCP for the Maintenance / Operations Phase, such as pipeline in-line inspection using magnetic flux leakage tools, oil movements software acquisition and implementation, instrumentation maintenance, fuel transportation, environmental audits, off-shore pipeline survey, buoys instrumentation maintenance, among others. Responsibilities include request for proposal preparation, bid analysis and awarding, interaction with all company’s departments, i.e. whole contracting process. Duties included being the sole contact point of OCP with bidders during contracting process. Encana Ecuador – Block 14 &17 Orient Basin, Ecuador Mechanical Supervisor (October 2003 – May 2004)
Assigned by Urazul as Pipeline construction supervisor representing Encana (Canadian Oil Company) of Ecuador for the construction of several API 5L pipeline segments ranging from 6” to 16” dia and from 2,5 km to 15 km long, under API standard 1104 and ASME B31.4. Project implementation activities include welding inspection, welder qualification, visual testing, radiographic interpretation, hidrostatic tests, ROW opening, lowering-in and filling operations. Project implementation of process plant construction directly supervising the construction of new oil production facilities (No subcontractor). Duties include assembly of facilities, welding inspection, writing of welding procedure specifications, procedure qualification record performance, welder qualification under ASME Section IX. QA/QC supervisor for all mechanical construction activities, including welding, coating and assembly.

Marine Terminal and Interconnection Pipeline Field Engineer (February 2002 August 2003) Working for the Heavy Crude Oil Pipeline of Ecuador Company, (OCP Ecuador S.A., 500 km long, US$1.5 billion project), reporting to the Construction Manager of the Marine Terminal, in charge of monitoring the construction work of EPC Contractor Techint Int. Cons. Corp. as part of the construction management team, for the construction of a US$76.3 million API 650 tank farm and ancillary facilities comprising 5@750,000 bbl tanks plus 7 km of 56” API 5L X70 interconnection pipeline from Terminal to shore for OCP Ecuador S.A.
