Thomas has researched and obtained test equipment specific to locating component shorts on assemblies, that has improved the success and efficiency of every Cyberdata technician. The company acquired BGA repair equipment which Thomas has mastered and now provides the company invaluable rework capability. Having proven his utility, he is now called on to assist with Hardware Engineers in product design verification and failure analysis. His scrupulous attention to detail detected a logical error on a new PCB design that was overlooked by senior design personnel; his data was crucial for the successful release of the product.
