Provider of customized applications, including company flagship product (EMPOWER), a student information system for colleges, trade schools, and private schools.

Provide systems development within Oracle environment. Utilize Uniface and Oracle PL/SQL to provide configuration, programming, and maintenance of Empower, a student management software system used by 80+ schools. Assist in design and implementation of major enhancements within multi-module system. Key Achievements

Spearheaded BUDCO Service Contracts Program designed to convert Ford service contracts system to new generic program used by multiple auto manufacturers.

Directed 2 staff members in creation and deployment of a Deductible Tracking System for Frist Mercury Financial Services (an umbrella company for a number of commercial insurance providers), providing client with ability to manage customer deductible payments.

Developed and delivered new Document Management System for ComSpec to provide web-based system for serving documents to clients and employees.

ComSpec International, Lead Developer for Nextel’s Commission Software Project (2000 to 2003)

Charged with providing application development and support for large application used to calculate and pay commissions to dealers in 20 markets over half the country. Directed up to 5 Developers throughout entire software development lifecycle, from initial design through implementation. Provided end-user training and support. Communicated with clients, management, peers, and staff to obtain system requirements and create technical solutions that met all business needs. Supported systems through consistently changing business and contractual environments.

Key Achievements

Migrated MS Access application to new 2-tiered client-server data application using MS SQL Server and MS Access front end.

Directed the integration of data flows from Oracle (7,8i), MS SQL Server (7.0, 2000), and main frame systems across the US and Canada to calculate, track, and pay commissions to dealers.

Developed new ASP-based website using IIS to enable entry and retrieval of data by 400+ users to provide Nextel dealers with information on sales activity and commission amounts.
