Ultraformer No. 3 Heater Reliability Project

Marathon Petroleum Galveston Bay Refinery, Texas City, Texas

Lead Instrument Engineer on $260MM refinery project, which consisted in replacing four Fired Heaters with new furnaces and installation of two Selective Catalytic Reactors (SCRs).

Responsible for specifying and developing purchase requisitions for all project instrumentation, P&ID markups; INTOOLs instrument database development, review of instrumentation requirements and deliverables for all mechanical packages, scheduling, and supervision of several instrument specialists/engineers.

Cheniere Ingleside Marine Terminal

Cheniere Energy Inc, Ingleside, Texas

Instrument Engineer on two projects designed to get Crude Condensate from the oil field to a gathering station, and then pipeline it to a Marine Export Terminal.

Specified, sized and prepared RFQ’s and Purchase orders for various instrumentation and control systems equipment, including Tank Gauging Systems, relief valves, severe service specialty control valves, on-off valves, radar level transmitters, Coriolis flow meters, densitometers, composite samplers.

USGC Fractionator Project and Export Propane Unit

Lead Instrument Engineer responsible for managing the man-hour estimate, project’s instrument engineering schedule, timely specification, detailed design and requisitioning of all instrumentation in the project scope. Responsibilities also included P&ID and Instrument Index development, and instruments/control systems documentation for mechanical packages.

Sweeny Fractionator 1 Project

Phillips 66, Sweeny, Texas

Sized, specified and procured all control valves, mostly for the severe service applications, for the project that included the detailed design and construction of a new Fractionation Unit.

Fired Heater Safety Management Program

Marathon Petroleum Galveston Bay Refinery, Texas City, Texas

Lead Instrument Engineer responsible for all Instument engineering activities on the project. Specified, sized, prepared RFQ and PO packages, evaluated bids, reviewed vendor data for various flow, level, pressure, temperature instruments, and on-off and control valves for a number of projects, which upgraded Furnaces at the BP Refinery to meet the latest safety and economic standards.

BEC SRU Revamp Project
