For 7 yrs I worked in Medical Records entering in the Doctors and Tech notes from the pet’s record into the computer, scanning in history from other clinics, filed invoices, downloaded blood work, cytology and Histopath results from UT. I prepared paperwork for Blood, Urine & cytology samples that needed to be sent out to the Lab for further testing. I had to mail invoices to clients that had outstanding balances. Helped with payroll when needed. I placed calls on hold and checked clients in and out for their appointments for the Receptionist. I filled in for Tech’s that called in or needed a day off. I ran blood tests, prepared and read fecals, urine cultures & ear cytology’s. Removed staples or sutures, intubate and extubate, placed IV catheteres and prepared the animals for surgery. Ran the Autoclave to sterilize Surgery packs. Took X-rays and set them up for the Dr’s to read. I worked in the kennels when they were short handed. Done light cleaning in the Hospital. I have great attention to detail. I enjoy typing, learning new things & working in an office setting.
