• Directed Research with Prof. Keith Jenkins: Simulated physical systems using partial differential equations (1D Heat Equation with boundary constraints). Analyzed different regression approaches for the synthetic dataset.

• A bound for acceptable missing data: Analysis of the correlation between amounts of missing data to the performance of a regression system for a custom NASDAQ Composite Index dataset.

• Image Recognition with Convolutional Neural Network: Application of the standard LeNet-5 CNN and its improved variations onto the CIFAR-10 dataset using TensorFlow.

• Credit Risk Classification: Analyzed various pre-processing methods and different classifier models for the classification of a highly non-trivial dataset of German Credit Data from the UCI repository.

• Comparison of Machine Learning Algorithms for Classifying Alzheimer’s Disease and Mild Cognitive Impairment Using Structural MRI Data (Supervisor: Prof. Cauligi Raghavendra) : Acquiring a customized dataset from ADNI database, pre-processed the dataset (using SPM12) to separate AD, MCI and healthy patient MRI scans using various classification techniques.

• Undergraduate Senior Industrial Design Project: Radar Target Simulator, (Project Manager): Designed, implemented and tested a 24GHz analog kit that is able to simulate a virtual target with velocity information to test the radar based functions such as AEBS and ACC of vehicles. Funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and Ford OTOSAN.
