Current – Independent Contractor, Physician Assistant
Providing locum tenens, urgent care, occupational med, family practice and internal medicine.
2009-2012 As lead PA directed the building and set up of 2 Urgent Care Centers from the ground up, ordering equipment, hiring personnel, legal work, and protocols, as well as providing medical care to patients of all ages.
Clinic Director, Physician Assistant, Family Practice, 2006-2008
Sole Provider and clinic director of a RHC in East Texas. I treated patients of all ages and all conditions, including urgent care, chronic, and long-term care. Reason for leaving: owner of clinic sold clinic to large hospital corporation who had their own staff.
Independent Contractor, 2003-2006
Positions included working as a Physician Assistant throughout the Northeast Texas rural areas as a clinical PA and in administrative roles including Clinic Director and RHC advisor. (This suited my personal needs due to my mothers 3 year battle with terminal cancer).

Opened 2 RHC’s from business plan to start-up.

Executive Director and Medical Provider, Longview Children’s Clinic, Longview Regional Medical Center, 2000-2001
Sole provider of a 501C(3) indigent care pediatric clinic. Duties included all aspects of administration and patient care for a 7000 patient base clinic. Networking with other not-for-profit agencies, grant writing, public speaking, and fund raising were daily activities. I developed a board of directors made up of community leaders and business people to assist in our mission.
Physician Assistant, Various Locum Tenens and Consultant Positions, 1998-2000
Held various locum tenens positions as a medical provider in family practice and minor urgent care centers.
Opened an RHC for an individual from business plan to federal certification.
Initiated and developed innovative model of the use of physician and extender services in rural long-term healthcare facilities in Texas for a major national long-term healthcare organization.
Physician Assistant, East Texas Clinic Association, 1995-1998
Provider of healthcare in a rural clinic. Responsibilities included diagnosis and treatment of all ages, including geriatric patients in nursing home facilities, and supervision and training of nursing staff. Developed more efficient use of scheduling and trained non-medical staff in emergency triage.

Provider of primary medical care to all ages, outpatient as well as inpatient.
Responsible for development and acquisition of rural clinic status and obtaining federal and state certifications. Responsible for JCAHO accreditation with zero deficiencies.
Provided care on a part-time basis to an outpatient clinic for prison inmates in a nearby community under the direction of TDCJ.
