GRADUATION PROJECTS:

1. Methane partial oxidation to produce acetic acid using Natural gas:

-Aspen Plus simulations were performed to obtain material and energy balances for the large-scale industrial production of acetic acid from natural gas. Extensive research was used to decide upon current, state of the art unit operations for this process. Purification of natural gas, reformation of methane to make methanol and ultimately acetic acid is explored in a series of simulations meant to optimally model the real world process. 2. Biomass gasification to produce dimethyl ether transportation fuel:

-Sugarcane Bagasse was chosen to be the feedstock crop. It goes through the process of drying and milling before it passes through the gasification process. The process of converting biomass into dimethyl ether include gasification, gas cleanup and removal of impurities, and dimethyl ether synthesis. Aspen Plus simulations were performed as well as the economical aspect of this process as compared to real world processes. WORK EXPERIENCE:
