Marketing internship for Unknown Lab, Los Angeles, CA May – August 2017

Focus of the internship was fulfilling the position of lead media consultant. Responsibilities included creating accessible and relevant content for Public Relations department. Content pertained to advertising, social media and marketing for the company brand as well as affiliated branch companies. Worked and communicated with others and filtered constructive ideas.

Accounting internship for Banc of California, Irvine, CA June - July 2016

Focus of the internship was having the opportunity to mentee an accounting clerk. Responsibilities included gaining insight into professionalism within CPA firm and professionally working with clients, developing an understanding of the tax software and gaining further understanding of the IRS code and preparation of individual tax returns for clients.

Community Service

Volunteer at Friendship Circle of West Bloomfield, MI September 2016 – May 2017

Volunteer twice a week for two hours per session usually with the same special needs child. Friendship circle has firstly taught me about patience. Patience to work with people who are younger at such an age where so easily influenced and impacted by my actions or words was at first difficult. My behavior was suddenly not solely at my own expense but soon could leave impacts on others. Working with special needs child for such a long time allowed me to mature and become more responsible.

Research volunteer at Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, MI Summer 2010-2015

Major focus of research has been investigating anticancer activities of natural compounds for the treatment of pancreatic, prostate, and ovarian cancers. Testing this compound in cell culture model is linked to cellular processes such as proliferation and apoptosis. Many molecular biology techniques that were used in performance of these studies.

Leadership Activities

Editor for VIM Magazine January 2016- Present

Teamed up with other students at MSU to provide a student-based fashion magazine affiliated with the university. The position of editor requires maintenance of approving overall image layouts of each magazine spread and choosing the appropriate writing pieces to be featured. Additionally, had to orchestrate bi-weekly meetings and brainstorming sessions.
