Brief Background

I completed my Matric in 2011, passing with a Bachelors’ Pass, then spent a year playing Football, before starting my diploma studies for Sports Management, graduating in 2016. In the time of studies, I worked at Ajax Cape Town Football Club during a 4 month Internship, where I was job shadowing in their Marketing and Management departments. I helped with the running of events, including Match Days, where I assisted with the handling of guests, amongst other activities. I also assisted in their fan shop, where I got experience of Sales. I also captured Data, in terms of season tickets and how many people attended games, and other stats.

I also had the opportunity to help with the hosting of Ajax Cape Town coaching clinics, which were run during School Holidays, where I got the chance to work with children, between the ages of 4 and 13, to help them improve their soccer skills. They tested my patience quite a bit, but I handled it well, and had fun in the process.

After graduating, I started working at Syntell, my current employers. I’m working in the department responsible for Printing court rolls that are sent to the courts, which are used when people are called into court for fines, or if they have warrants for arrest against their name. I am also responsible for printing traffic fines (Final Notices, First Notices, and Warrant Of Arrest documents). I also assign case numbers for court rolls, off the system used here. I have a good grasp of Microsoft Office, having used it at Campus, as well as during my working experiences.

I can work in a group, as well as by myself, since I’m in a team with 4 other people, each of us with our own responsibilities, but I have no problem filling in if needed. If there’s a problem, I try my utmost to solve it, as efficiently as possible. I’m very optimistic, and always try to find the positives from all situations.
