April 2014 Broadcast / Computer Engineer

Produce and host national live broadcasts involving coordination with several sites simultaneously, including communication with on air talent and on site engineers.

Writing and step by step production of multi-commercial material and broadcast elements consisting of copywriting, client approval, voice over, music selections, and mixing/editing sound with a vast array of programs including Scott Studios, Audio Vault, DRS 2006, Wave Pad, Audacity, and Windows Media Player.

Negotiated and created contract agreements between company and university athletic departments.

Created and implemented a training program for part time employees, encompassing all aspects of broadcasting and proper operation of computer and satellite broadcasting equipment.

Designed and installed broadcasting stations consisting of Telos Zephyr and Axia consoles, broadcast level limiter, Mackie and Yamaha sound boards, necessary wiring, and all corresponding computer hardware and software.

On call engineer responsible for any problems that may be incurred due to equipment malfunctions or other unforeseen circumstances.

Responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of all broadcast equipment systems utilized at the MRN Broadcast Center and at remote broadcast sites covering The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Installed, upgraded, maintained, and repaired studio and remote broadcast equipment.

Troubleshooting audio impairments and provided rapid resolution.

Utilized Wide Orbit Automation for Radio, (Scott Studio) and Axia Audio Equipment, and wrote manual to train other engineers and staff.

Coordinated with local telecom companies on a weekly basis to ensure proper lines were installed and ready for punch down each week.

Extensive knowledge of safely and effectively running fiber optic cable to ensure clean broadcasts.

Part of a team of 3 engineers required to attend to problems with broadcast and computer equipment, as well as phone and electrical line issues.

Interviewed, scheduled, trained, and supervised part time staff that varied between 7 and 20 employees.
