PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mechanical Design Engineer – Meza Engineering, Inc., Dallas Jan ’17 – Dec ’17
Key achievements include two $20M+ school & six ER projects, from design documentation to construction administration.
Successfully laid out project template files in Revit & revamped 100+ Revit families to easily & automatically communicate the floor plan layout with the equipment schedules.
Introduced & exploited Dynamo visual programming tool to integrate with the Revit model. Rendered fewer clicks in equipment placement & tagging, reducing modeling time for an ER by 8%.
Carried out site visits for expansion & renovation projects. Effectively communicated site observations with other engineering trades through use of Bluebeam and Plangrid tools.
Managed 2 entry level engineers. Trained them in AutoCAD, Revit & Trace modeling.
Engineering Intern – Meza Engineering, Inc., Dallas Jan ’16 – Dec ’16
Accomplished the ducting & piping design layouts, abiding codes & specifications for cost estimation & DD set issue.
Articulated floor plans by producing riser diagrams, component detail drawings, section & 3-D views.
Reviewed & edited O&M manuals for DFW airport projects that generated more than $5M, leveraging Commissioning team better time utilization in the field. Also, analyzed equipment performance recorded for commissioning report.
Devised 2 excel sheets, for chilled water pipe sizing & air balance, eliminating need for hand calculation for future projects.
Intern – DJ Refrigeration, Mumbai, India April ’14 - Aug’14
Achieved 40% growth of the residential market by widening sale of window & split air conditioners to nearby suburbs.
Created & maintained log of 1500 leased equipment, including unitary & centralized air conditioners, to keep better track of required maintenance as well as technician hours.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Computational Fluid Dynamics Project
Implemented 5 finite difference & finite volume techniques on the heat & wave equations with the purpose of realizing best suited modeling method & building efficient numerical solvers.
Visualized flow over 2 rough geometries, cubical & cylindrical, to analyze wake vortex characteristics, velocity & pressure distribution on certain critical planes. Obtained values within 2% of the referenced DNS model values.
Finite Element Analysis Project
Developed a solver in MATLAB to model & analyze uniformly loaded rectangular frame, using triangular node and rectangular node element method, to test the convergence with the ANSYS Finite Element model.
Wind Turbine Project
Visualized & provided deductions on the velocity data acquired through LiDAR experiments on WT.
Identified & applied best suited frequency filtration methods to analyze the recorded data.
