Project Title:

Productivity and Quality Improvement in GEAR HOUSING in TRACTOR AND FARM EQUIPMENT LIMITED (TAFE).

Description:

We were involved in the analysis of machining process in TRACTOR AND FARM EQUIPMENT LIMITED (TAFE). The project is to identify the defects occur in machining processes through Q7 tools and implementing the ideas to overcome the issues by using lean manufacturing concept.

The proper solutions have been implemented with the help of lean manufacturing concept to increase productivity and quality in gear housing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Involved in analyzing the problems occur in machining process using Q7 tool.

Providing the suitable solutions by implementing the lean manufacturing concept.

In-Plant Training and Industrial Visit

I have undergone In plant training in TRACTOR AND FARM EQIPEMNT LTD (TAFE) _PRODUCT TRAINING CENTRE at Chennai duration of one month.

This training includes various tractors aggregate i.e about Gear box, Engine, Transmission and MF hydraulic System. This training was Class Room and workshop based training, each day morning SME had taught us the tractor aggregate in the morning and afternoon physical component explanation had been done. I have also learnt various components and functions of tractor, which was very helpful to me. Especially in my training period from the sessions, I learned more about engine’s valve openings and close timings and how hydraulic flow happening in piston cylinder arrangement. In addition, I got to know different types of clutch, gear box in my transmission session.

I have participated in national level “ AUTOMOTIVE WORK SHOP” conducted in Anna University, Chennai

Participated in Intra College Paper Presentation under the topic of Engine Heat Reduction.

At School:

I have participated in State and District level “QUIZ” program and won the “3” prize during my school days.
