1. Receive endorsement
2.Check the supplies and instruments available for the ERT department
3.Receive and check patients in their respective cubicles as well as the incoming patients during shift transition
5.Must know how to triage patients according to their needs
6. Check ER logbook and verify if record from previous shift were returned to the information section
7.Give oral medication and injection as ordered
8.Assist in treatments and special procedure to be done for the patient
9.Make sure that the patient is informed about any procedure prior to execution
10. Document all medical treatment and nursing intervention given to the patient
11.Document or report any untoward incident during the shift. Indicate the date and time of incident, people involved, actualscenario, with the signature over printed name of the nurse on duty and address it to the supervisor or Head Nurse
12.Refill all necessary materials that have been used
13. Report out of order equipment’s and instruments to the head nurse
14.Endorse each patient to the next shift
15. Maintenance of good nurse-patient relationship.
16.Assess the physical and neurological condition of the patient. E.g. Glascoscoma scale.
17.Maintenance of intake output chart. E.g. Urine O/P, RT Feeding, Drainage.
18.Collection of specimens.E.g. Serum, ABG, Urine, Sputum.

24. Maintenance of physical, social, psychological,spiritual and re-hebilitative needs of the patients.
Descriptions of Duties:
As soon as I enter the room I wish my patient and will ask about his condition; then I will go for morning care and check all patients’ files. According to that will be starting the treatment. In between if patient needs any help I will take care of that also, mainly in nursing care I am following Neutropinic Technique in all the way, mainly while handling patients with piclines, central lines etc also will assist the doctors for all procedure.
