Career Objective

My goal is to help the patient live as independently as possible in the comfort of their own home. Over the past 26 years as Home Health Aide I provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in the patient’s home based on their needs and established care plan. I am very detail oriented and have a thorough understanding on the importance of following necessary rules and protocols established by patient and/or family. I work closely with my clients and/or families providing care and helping them through pain stress as well as being sensitivity to their emotions. I am comfortable performing physical tasks whether they need to be lifted or turned and also clients with disability.

Responsibilities

Provide health care services in patients residences.

Perform household tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, washing dishes, and vacuuming in a client’s home.

Assist with clients daily personal tasks, such as bathing or dressing.

Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition to appropriate parties.

Give reminders and assist with taking medications OTC and doctor prescribed.

Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital.

Maintain patients care records and document provided services.

Provide companionship and basic emotional support.

Shop for groceries and prepare meals to a client’s dietary specification.

Organize a client’s schedule and plan appointments if needed. Experience
