Restraints on renewing or obtaining vehicle tags and registration due to outstanding impoundment fees.
● Review official forms such as police reports, towing receipts and inventory control forms for pertinent data related to vehicle impoundment, completeness and consistency; scrutinize customer documentation such as vehicle registration, driver's license and insurance coverage for validity and authenticity.
● Upon receipt of sufficient documentation, return valuables removed from impounded vehicle to customer.
● Respond to citizens complaints of theft or damage; photograph damage; review police report to determine if items were removed for evidence and explain forms and procedures for filing claims.
