The job involves testing application programs, working with complex problems and resources to provide technical support for managers, customers, and coworkers who need advice and assistance with the system resources that are used to complete a project or to ensure the production readiness. Test application programs by analyzing project requirements, writing test scripts, and cases and use cases based on many different documentation to understand the project such as, customer data model, general transformation rules, business rules and design specification reports and any other documents that are provided using an IBM mainframe computer and all IBM applications and tools. Ability to identify problems, fix the problem and regression test the processes to ensure problem correction. I use the following packages KISAMs, RQM and Clearquest to support the writing of defects; Rational Quality Manager and Test Manager are used to create test scripts and cases, Requisite Pro used to join and research requirements and other testing tools. I provide support for maintenance and problem resolution and able to follow a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Provide documentation to support the testing project based on the life-cycle of processing.
Prepares deliverables as requested. Follows administrative guidelines set forth by test director and completes administrative tasks timely.
Prepares test scenarios for the Modernized E-File (MeF) systems at the Internal Revenue Services (IRS). Utilizing the IBM Pegasus Version 15.95 to create and generate data for processing downstream to verify how MeF hands a wide variety of input scenarios.
Prepares test data using predetermine results to verify that the integrity is maintained and that all changes have been implemented correctly for the current tax processing year.
