SENIOR SYSTEM ENGINEER AT NATIONAL DATABSE AND REGISTRATION AUTHORITY (NADRA)

(September 2013 to current)

Duties

Working for National Data Warehouse in NADRA Head Quarter.

Working on Biometric Identification Systems including Automated Finger Identification System (AFIS, Morpho).

Operating Systems (Red hat, Windows Server)

Managing all backup activities through Netvault and Tape Library (TS 3310) for both primary and DR site.

Managing off-site backups.

Managing SAN solution with IBM DS3500 Storage and Lenovo v3700 v2 storage with fabric switches (zoning).

Managing ISCSI server.

Firewall management through IPtables and Firewalld.

Managing disk usage with disk quotas.

Monitoring system and network services through Cacti and Nagios.

Monitoring the day to day work and propose changes to processes, procedures and staff structure required to improve overall efficiency.

Collaboration with all Telco’s and Banks of Pakistan for their CNIC verification services.

INTERNSHIP AT ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN (1st May 2012 – 15th June 2012)

Sharing responsibilities with the team developing the Computerized Electoral Lists for General Elections 2013.

I have been an active member of the ECP Team of famous Voter SMS (8300) Project. (This project won Accessibility Award at International Electoral award held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
