I maintain and develop a SQL Server ETL environment using SSIS, reporting in SSRS. The process extracts data from Oracle/PeopleSoft databases and loads into SQL Server 2008 for reporting and analysis. I work with various departments in large organizations to develop and document business processes, and internal controls, streamlining, eliminating and automating steps in the process before documenting the process, implementing and augmenting security on these processes.

EXPERIENCE

Supporting a department of 114 people in 5 groups I was the primary point of contact for technical guidance to the department. I was involved in the development road map for data enrichment tools, and I was the primary liaison with the IT department responsible for setting priorities for enhancements and bug fixes.

Designed and implemented ABRA (American Bar Retirement Association) Plan re-qualification System. This system produces the twenty eight-page plan contract for each of the 4,700 law firms in department. Using Access/VBA and ODBC the system imports a flat file download from the mainframe and produces custom retirement plan contracts for law firms.

Traditional IRA’s and 403(b) RMD Required Minimum Distribution Compliance. Built Excel spreadsheet and Access database system necessary for participants to meet traditional IRA’s and 403(b) RMD required minimum distribution regulations. Producing calculations, for twelve hundred participants each year, necessary to file form 1099 with the IRS.

Responsible for auditing the spreadsheets in our department for Section 404 Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Working in a department of 63 people I categorized and documented the complexity, calculations, and purpose of each spreadsheet as well as the number of users and the uses of the spreadsheet output. I developed a change control-tracking database of the spreadsheets in our department, and applied security on the spreadsheets. The change control system is used to meet section 302 SOX compliance (Continuous Evaluation).

IRS 5500 Forms and Schedules filing. Responsible for obtaining the information, and producing the 5500 forms and related schedules each year for 4,700 law firms. The 5500 forms is the Annual Return/Report of the employee benefit plan, which we file annually with the IRS. These were signature ready forms and schedules we produced and sent to the clients to be filed with the IRS.

Designed and built the Microsoft Access Stock Purchase/Sell authorization-tracking system necessary to meet Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. The system is tied into, Bloomberg Financial reporting system, for real time pricing. This system is used to track all the authorizations of all the purchases and sales in 12 different mutual funds the department oversees.
