Description: The 2007 HBOS GI Proposition Strategy aims to ‘sell MORE policies to MORE people’, by delivering the capability to meet customer needs, be it on product, price or promotion.

The current household offering (MOR) is ‘one size fits all’ i.e. a quality, unlimited sum insured product, with inhibiting factors such as:

Insufficient flexibility to promote the product, resulting in falling behind the industry in offering market leading propositions

Inability to avoid losing price driven customers to competitors, reflected by the fact that we convert less than 50% of quotes into new business

Lack of flexibility to ‘save the sale’ (STS) at retention

No range of products to promote to specific customer segments, such as a ‘price fighter’ for first time buyers, or a product suitable for older customers.

To support the GI Strategy, a new improved range of products and supporting functionality will be launched through a phased IT delivery, using the Ginger Platform for white labeled products via the Household Customer Proposition (HCP) Project.

HCP Product Offering:

Home, replacement covers for the MOR product, with revised limits and new ancillary coverage’s.

Landlord, a new product placed to compete in the ‘Buy-To-Let’ market and to support the HBOS Buy-to-Let mortgage product.
