WORK EXPERIENCE
Registered Nurse - Columbus Regional-Midtown Medical Center [2011 - present] I am currently working in my sixth year as an emergency department team nurse at a Level 2 Trauma Center. I serve in a mix of roles including charge nurse, trauma nurse, triage nurse and more. Our hospital serves over thirteen counties, and is one of few trauma hospitals in the state of Georgia. Along with advanced care providers and my fellow nurses, we treat an extremely diverse civilian and military population of different ages presenting with a very wide array of illnesses and wounds.
Medical Assistant - Columbus Regional-Midtown Medical Center [2010 - 2011] While completing my BSN degree, I worked as a medical assistant for the hands on experience. During my year and a half, I routinely measured patients’ vital signs, glucose levels and performed basic patient care of oncology and medical surgical patients.
