Biomechanics Laboratory – Dr. Kurosh Darvish January 2016 – December 2016 Worked on a traumatic brain injury project funded by the American Heart Association (AHA) in conjunction with the Department of Defense (DOD). Was awarded an AHA Fellowship during the summer of 2016. Gained experience in laboratory techniques including but not limited to the perfusion of animals, cryosec- tioning, immunohistochemistry, antibody labeling for fluorescent imaging, microscopy, image analysis, and device construction and development.

Biomechanics Laboratory – Dr. Andrew Spence January 2017 – Present Working on a spinal chord injury project developing treatment device for paralysis in rats. Working to identify a gait controller in rats to help qualify response to changes in the environment. Relevant experience includes device development, device construction, viral transduction and development, spinal cord transectioning, spi- nal cord injection, gene sequencing, in vivo placement of neural and muscular implants, and coding for robot control systems in Python.
