--- Localization Algorithms based on Acoustic and MI communications Jan 2016---Aug 2017

Proposed two novel 3-D localization algorithms of wireless sensor nodes using MI communications.

These two algorithms achieve higher localization accuracy and more feasible in practice.

Proposed an AoA assisted localization algorithm for underwater Ad-Hoc sensor networks using acoustic communications, which improves the localization accuracy significantly and reaches the high localization coverage.

Did numerous simulations about these localization algorithms on Matlab.

--- Building the localization system in an underwater sensor network Aug 2014---Jan 2016

Assigned as the team leader of the underwater localization project: conducted several field experiments to do localization in an underwater sensor network.

Took the responsibilities of hardware designs and tests, software programming, and arranging team works.

Designed the schematics and the PCB of the circuit board: circuits of power amplifier, filter, microcontroller, voltage-converter, sensor, EEPROM, and transducer port.

Implemented the C code programming in MCU to modulate signal (OOK, BPSK) with a carrier frequency, trigger interruption by 1PPS signal, A/D converter (ADC), and sample the signal.

Processed data from field experiments with Matlab. Proposed an algorithm to calculate the ToA estimations and to verify the advantages of dual PN frame over single PN frame with respect to ToA estimation and frequency offset.
