While at Bakkavor USA, I took the place of the lab manager while she took maternity leave. I also created a COA program and qualifications for incoming raw materials. Below is a brief list of my duties and qualifications.

Review all paperwork for the quality lab (micro results, hold tags, etc)

Create CoC to send with any sampke to lab

Send samples to lab and communicate with lab about samples

Logging and evaluating all COA's for Raw Materials

Monitor QC/QA techs (11) to be sure all necessary work is being done

Train entire plant on all quality topics in English and Spanish

Balance budget in Syspro and AP Smart, as working with finance department for any matters in the quality department, as well as ITR's and all paperwork

Take, investigate, find root cause of customer complaint as well as communicate with customer

Monthly report, Out of Spec reports communicate with all upper management, hold meetings with USDA, and any outside personnel.

Logging of results of finished product, swabs, air and water; when products would be released, products on hold; log COA

Create qualifications for incoming perishable goods

Check incoming perishable goods for quality. Reject all that does not pass my qualification
