Administrator for Windows 2008 virtualized server cluster utilizing Hyper-V. Responsibilities include executing and reviewing security scans with VRAM and Nessus tools, patch/IAVA management, performing weekly reboots, maintaining all backups and leading troubleshooting efforts in the event of server failure

Executed more than 10 disaster recovery operations on various Linux and Windows servers due to critical database or service failures preventing command access to software applications, intranet sites, and even entire servers while the warship was in an operational state

Managed a Red Hat Enterprise Linux server operated entirely via command-line, performed daily server maintenance and performance checks, conducted backups and troubleshot various issues. Familiar with Bash-shell commands.

Created SOP’s for several tasks such as reboots, emergency shutdown and backups to train and qualify new personnel resulting in a highly effective work force
