301 S Hillside Drive STE 9, Beeville, TX – 5/17 – 11/28/17

I completed my contract for Dr. Capitaine in his psychiatric clinics located in Corpus Christi, Victoria and Beeville, Texas. I monitored patients ages 6 and up who are prescribed psychotropic medications, assessed the medication’s effectiveness and side effects. Diagnosed and treated mental health, emotional and substance abuse disorders. I ordered, monitored and obtained lab tests due to side effects that may occur with the use of high risk psychotropic medications.

Promptu is an Urgent Care Facility that partners with Christus Health to provide quality health care for individuals that have acute health care needs such as minor emergencies and illnesses. I enjoyed working in this environment due to the fast paced, patient centered care that I was able to provide to each patient that I cared for.

Amistad Community Health Center – 1533 S. Brownlee, Corpus Christi, TX – 5/16-10/17

Amistad is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center that serves the uninsured population in the Corpus Christi area. The patients seen there are chronically ill with the triad illnesses of Diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. It was exciting to work with these individuals due to the challenge of managing their illness with limited resources. Amistad works closely with Texas A&M to provide Diabetic education and medication assistance for the many patients that cannot afford their medication. My role at Amistad was to become the patient’s primary care provider. I managed all aspects of their care and developed a plan to help the patient live a healthier lifestyle and have regular appointments to monitor and maintain their health status.

I enjoyed the fast pace of the urgent care setting and the ability to quickly care for the patient’s needs while comforting them during a stressful time in their lives. I was the only provider present when working at the Doctor’s Center, so I quickly gained the confidence needed to make fast, safe decisions in order to provide the patient with superior care.

Mercy Clinic Family Medicine – 114 Downey Place, Cuba, MO 65453 – 2/14-8/15

Mercy has been named one of the top largest U.S. health systems. Hospitals and clinics are located in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma. My role in the Mercy system was as a family nurse practitioner in a primary care clinic located in the small community of Cuba, Missouri. I cared for patients from birth to over 100 years of age with acute and chronic illnesses. Immunizations, sports and employment physicals were also a huge part of my daily routine. I also organized a patient education program for diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and other chronic diseases in which I would meet with the patient and their family members and educate them about their illness using written and interactive online materials. After they fully understood the nature of their illness, a plan of care was developed with the patient and treatment goals were established. Twice a week, I would travel to St. James, Missouri and treat the health care needs of the child and adolescent population of Great Circle Behavioral Health Community which assisted homeless children ages 6-21. Great Circle is contracted with Mercy and it was an honor to be chosen to be their primary health care provider.

Missouri Highlands Healthcare – 110 South 2nd Street, Ellington, MO 63638 – 5/13-1/14

Missouri Highlands is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center that is located in southern Missouri. There are 10 clinics that serve the rural communities that are in need of quality health care. I was fortunate to be able to provide care in all of the clinics since I was the newest provider to Missouri Highlands at that time.
