Roles and Responsibilities

Going through the software requirements from client using SRS(Software Requirement Specifications) and get clarification on doubt’s

Understanding functionality of the software

Preparing test plan according to the software

Understand the master test plan/project plan

Preparing test cases for module,integration and system testing based on requirements and other documents

Analyzing the test cases prepared by other team members

Executing the test cases(Manual and automation techniques) in all three browsers(IE-11, Chrome and Mozilla)

Executing test cases through Selenium Web driver

Update test automation based on updated test cases

Enter reproducible defects into defect tracking software(Redmine)

Deciding the priority and severity of the bugs

Executing load and stress tests as per the requirement

Executing load and stress test cases using Apache Jmeter

Giving mandatory information of a defect to developers in order to fix it

Retesting/regression testing the fixed bugs to check for its existence and also to check for its effect

Update the status of the bug in defect tracking tool
