TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

A great capacity for working with end user to resolve problems concerning testing conflicts and issues pertaining to the accuracy of the data in the application.

Communicate with appropriate personnel in order to resolve misunderstandings as to prevent specimen testing issues.

Support personnel by researching test information, answering questions about testing requirements, and clarify confusion pertaining to specific details.

Have become skilled at entering test requisitions into Sunrise and Surround Lab systems.

Specimen Logistics (Tracking and shipping tests using UPS and Fedex).

TESTING

Perform various experiments under the instruction of Engineers and Managers using ISO & ASTM certified methods.

Perform functional testing on a multitude of products in order to look for defects within the same product lot.

Compile accurate documentation detailing procedure and presenting the data obtained using photographs, word and excel.

Perform planning and troubleshooting of experiment designs with engineers and suppliers.

Program dispensing robots and create a detailed work instruction for the proper maintenance, use, and cleaning of several labs and pieces of equipment.

Maintain an accurate catalogue of all inventory and equipment in Lotus Notes. Follow protocol and regulatory standards for disposal of sensitive materials.

Quickly learn a wide variety of new technical tests as well as the software and machines required to perform them including: ELISA, Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, UV Spectrometry, Blood Smears, Metabolite Extractions, Bacterial Cultures, Instron Testing Apparatus and calibration of Load Cells, High Performance/Pressure Liquid Chromatography, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.

QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL

Ability to prepare various biological samples to be tested by technicians and ensure the samples are adequate for the tests.

Investigate equipment in order to find the cause of the malfunction and compile reports on the findings and upload to a database.

Organize and catalog a variety of research specimens in order to record them into a system and compile daily specimen progress reports.

Approve and sign off on batch records, day codes and certificates of analysis after performing the necessary error checks.
