Description: T he aim of the project was to identify and inhibit the functioning a particular motif that l eads t o t he f ormation o f b iofilms. I t w as a chieved u sing t he m ethod o f c omputer a ided d rug design a nd d rug d iscovery.

● In S ilico d rug d esigning a gainst S taphylococcus a ureus b iofilms b y t argeting t he I ca g ene l ocus Tools U sed: R aptorX, R ampage, S chrodinger, D esmond m odule. Description: A n Ica gene operon was found to be the key to the generation of biofilms in S . aureus. Therefore, an inhibitor of the operon was found using structure based drug designing and the result was validated through the calculation of ADME properties and molecular dynamics simulation.

● Sustained d rug d elivery u sing o smotic p umps Tools U sed: M EMS F abrication T echniques.

Description: A Prototype of the osmotic pump was developed which achieved the goal of controlled drug release profile. All the materials used to develop the prototype were completely biodegradable a nd b iocompatible.

● Prototyping H RV d ata o n F PGA p latform

Tools U sed: X ilinx D esign T ools I SE 1 4.5, N exys 2 S partan, V irtex 5, V erilog. Description: A n algorithm for monitoring real-time electrocardiogram (ECG) was prototyped on FPGA platform. The FPGA chip is taken as the central microprocessor and applies structured design u sing V erilog h ardware d escription l anguage t o c ollect a nd t ransmit r eal-time E CG s ignals.

● M.Tech T hesis: B acteriocins

Tools U sed: E lectrophoresis, S pectrophotometer, G el D ock Description: Purification and characterisation of bacteriocins obtained from Lactic Acid Bacteria was done which included antimicrobial activity test and molecular mass determination of the peptide o btained.
