Reporting to the Software Manager and part of the mPower group, responsible for design, development and maintenance of the Core/GDK/Host software enabling the game developers to develop rich and entertaining games for Aristocrat line of Slot Machines. Reporting to the Senior Group Manager - High Frequency Measurement and responsible for the development and maintenance of C++, C#, Python, Perl, LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA software allowing the clients to customize their experience of IF and RF hardware. Managing two teams of developers (16-21 Principal/Senior/Staff/software engineers and technicians) working on several multimillion Dollar projects. Hardware Driver Software is extensively in C++, but some of the user interfaces running on the head device are in C#.

Converted graphics parsing plug-ins from Pearl to Python to upgrade the tools and allow for faster and more efficient parsing.

INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT, Las Vegas, NV Jan 2009 – Aug 2009 Senior Software/Firmware Engineer

Worked on short term contracts, up to 7 weeks, on C/C++/C# projects including an embedded client server system communicating over sockets/TCP/IP for advertisement in a casino environment. Also, design and development of Apple iPhone applications in Objective-C language. ARISTOCRAT TECHNOLOGIES, Las Vegas, NV / Sydney, Australia Dec 1997 - Jul 2008 Manager, Protocol Engineering (Jan 2004- Jul 2008) Designed, developed and implemented protocol converter boards to interface with a wide variety of systems in “real-time” mode. Managing a team of firmware/software engineers, reported to the Vice President of Research and Development in the gaming division. Most of the work was in C/C++, but some of the testing interfaces as well as control and installation modules were in C# interfacing to small SQL server. Achievements:

Slashed software development costs $4M per year and reduced time-to-market readiness 70% by introducing, developing, and implementing a middle layer software and hardware between proprietary systems and the EGM that expedited both product testing and regulatory approval.

Saved $1M+ annually by replacing outdated protocol converter hardware with newer design.

Played a key role in short-term tactical and long-term strategic planning as a result of collaborating with external design teams to design and develop the hardware platforms and internal development team to develop the software/firmware.
