4/14 – Present Stantec – Design Supervisor/Senior Designer

Duties: Documented substations for emergency response conditions. Designed database for electrical equipment assessments (per client). Coordinated design projects. Led training classes for electrical design. Held product learning seminars with various vendors. Used 3D design for client reviews to identify problems and solutions. Responsible for client interfacing for projects regarding scheduling and performance. Reviewed co-worker performance for yearly reviews. Responsible for engineering drawings for offshore and onshore facilities including P&IDs, Safety Equipment Plans, Piping Layouts, Area Classification Plans and various Details. Responsible for setting up software and configuring/customizing CAD systems. Helped create standard borders with Lisp routines for proper insertion and drawing setup. Other responsibilities include traveling offshore or to onshore facilities to document “as-built” situations for new work or asset documentation.

7/02 – 1/03 Shell Exploration & Production Co. – Regional Facilities Coordinator for the Rocky Mountains

Duties: Responsible for Asset Integrity for the Shell Rocky Mountains including walking down existing and new construction sites. Field work involved traveling to Wyoming (monthly) to sketch plot plans and P&ID's. Also, responsible for creating more work for in-house engineering. Office duties included creating drawings from field notes and designing electrical hook-ups for grounding and instrument junction boxes. Had to work in coordination with engineers at both the office and the field office in Wyoming and maintain job hours and budget control. BOMs and construction drawings sent to field for installation. Managed drawings and recordable numbers. Worked up new drawing numbering system with other coordinators to be implemented for all new work.

7/01 – 7/02 Alliance Engineering – Electrical/Instrumentation Design & CAD Support

Duties: Responsible for evaluating, learning, purchasing and training of third-party CAD software. Responding to CAD problems and hardware/software setups. Setting up new user profiles and developing applications for end-users. Working with management to solve issues related to support for project/client standards.
