UNIVERSITY ACCREDITATION EXPERIENCE

I have been Committee Chair / Member of Accreditation Compliance Team of University of Nevada, Las Vegas, University of Louisiana, Florida International University, and Technological University of America, preparing them for obtaining their accreditations or their reaccreditations. In addition, I have served as the Team Chair, Member, Visitor, and Program Evaluator of several Accreditation Organizations, such as The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), Computer Science Accreditation Board (CSAB), The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the Accreditation Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACISC) which have allowed me to visit and evaluate many large and small Universities and Colleges in US and abroad for making sure that they meet the Accreditation criteria, in order to be awarded accreditation for the first time or evaluated them for obtaining their reaccreditations.

ABET - The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, is a non-profit and non-governmental accrediting agency for academic programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. ABET is recognized by both U.S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation. (I have been University Accreditation Committee Chair / Member. Also, ABET Team Member / Visitor / Program Evaluator).

CSAB - ACM/IEEE Accreditation, is the lead ABET member for accreditation of programs in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, and Software engineering. (I have been University Accreditation Committee Chair / Member. Also, CSAB Team Member / Visitor / Program Evaluator).

SACS - The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, is one of the six regional accreditation organizations recognized by both U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
