I have started career as an Assistant Accountant at Just Media Foundation and promoted as an Accounted in a very short period

While I was working as an accountant I have redesigned Accounts implementing method. Such as using Quick book 2015 instead of Excel, using standards for stock calculation, preparing age analysis table for debt collection, Implementing IAS 12 & IAS 16 for tax calculation and property valuation.

While working in Urban Council Puttalam for a special construction project. Although my responsibilities are narrow; apart from my duties I have customized the data and information into presentations to be handled in an easy way like providing details every week about additional deviated cost from original estimation. 2

Established the books of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

Prepare, review and analyze accounting records and financial statements.

Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payments, reporting and other tax requirements.

Special assignment such as stock taking, physical verification of fixed asset and physical verification of cash in order to check those match with the system reports.

Prepare management reports for internal control improvements which includes recommendations to address any material weakness in the Finance control.
