Cost savings realized of over $12M.

Freight savings of over $1M.

Implemented various types of Lean Mfg. and Kanban techniques to manage all raw material deliveries. Notably for steel coil storage and deliveries. Result was no more than 2 days of steel coils on the floor at any given time. And second, created VMI system for on-line storage of production fasteners eliminating storage space and racking which created space for additional production equipment.

Increased overall inventory turns from the 50’s to over 150.

Implemented VMI for all maintenance items and plant consumables.

Lead logistics support for the implementation of the take-over business from Noble Industries out of Noble, MI. This was the purchase of automated weld cells, rolling mills and presses for GM door and header production for various vehicles.
