CURRENT PROJECTS
Kaggle Data Science Competitions
Zillow Prize: Zillow’s Home Value Prediction (Zestimate)
• Improved Zestimate score by cross validating model predictions as well as their hyperparameters.
• Goal: to predict the error of Zillow’s zestimate housing price predictions.
• Placing top 30% in competition ranking.
Tools: Anaconda, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, seaborn, Matplotlib Language: Python3
Twitter Mine
• Finding correlation between company stock value and Twitter activity with ongoing data collection and research.
• Goal: Using data-mined tweets from selected companies such as Microsoft, IBM and Facebook and applying natural language processing using NLTK and sentiment analysis to extract features from text that finds correlations between tweets and the company’s current stock.
Tools: Anaconda, NumPy, Matplotlib, cron, NLTK
Language: Python2.7
