-Assisted in designing mini APH, Silos, Cyclone for a state of art pilot plant to develop multi grade Carbon black from especially from petroleum oils, used tires to reduce footprints especially for carcass grade using Aspen Technology and HTRI software
-Carried out energy balance during various manufacturing grades to decide priority, profitability and suggested modifications in injection nozzle to APH using CFD modeling for improved profile generation and reduce erosion corrosion for better heat utilization
-Assisted in getting Deming award for TPM
-Developed desulfurization system in pilot plant at Gumidipoondi, Chennai, India with help of a German technology developer
-Alternative high temperature and expensive filter bags(Orlon bags) in Silos for trial for cost reduction based on life cycle for pilot plant
-Worked in APC group for better process control loops and improved process efficiency
-Resolved issue of power feeding to the grid by optimizing df/dt relays since grid frequency varied
-Carried out turbine efficiency evaluation, CHP performance evaluation, boiler performance evaluation as per Bureau of Energy Efficiency guidelines; suggested to maintain oxygen levels in stacks by installation of automatic oxygen control instead of manual system, improved boiler performance by old replacing burner system in Renukoot
-Installed noise control system since steam had to be vented in Navi Mumbai based new Carbon black unit’s power plant
-Energy audit of all Carbon black units across the globe using sophisticated instruments resulted in saving over $1.8M per annum
