Plan and generate work orders for production to meet customer dock dates. Conducted on site visits to assess supply chain capabilities and practices. Generated all PO’s for outside processes capturing all cost associated to the work order.

Worked with engineers on drawings/data sheets for any issues that may arise with the supply chain. Have the ability to cross reference components and understand drawing tolerances and recommend changes if required.

Worked with supply chain to evaluate OTD,KPI’s and current market trends regarding lead time, obsolescence, EOL, NCNR to establish possible risk purchases that may impact production. Purchased all commodities which include importing electronic components from China, Japan, Taiwan, UK, Contract Manufactures, printed wiring boards, CNC milling, sheet metal, production floor supplies/tools, test equipment, and many other various requirements. Negotiate pricing for all international and domestic purchases and maintain supplier relations. Manage production floor for maximum production while reducing lead time.

Work directly with engineering on new designs to identify potential obsolete parts that could be associated with their design. Obtain fast turnaround parts for evaluation including samples. Assign new internal part numbers for all new components.

Determine which items should be direct buys or bids. Negotiate all bids depending on lead times and price.

Identify long lead components through MRP and order accordingly. Maintain appropriate inventory levels for all commodities.

Identify excess inventory for sale as a lot or line item purchase through the internet or other sources. Sell excess inventory through internet component search engines at 100% inventory value or current market value.

Material Plan for specific projects based on customer delivery requirements. Expedite all open purchase orders and relay material delivery information to the production floor and appropriate departments.

Commodities assigned were the entire class codes which included some of the following. Electronic components, raw material, outsourced CNC/Sheet Metal, hardware, production supplies. Strategic purchases for metals were based on current market values and current market trends.
