Overall 34 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical and industrial projects performing and evaluating Layouts, AutoCAD drafting, PDMS modeling. Supervise a team of designers in the design and drafting activities, producing calculations, estimates and technical drawings in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction activities.
Evaluate scope of work, number of required drawings and establish design and drafting requirements.
Prepare layouts including 2D and 3D models with adequate dimensions necessary to assist the Engineering disciplines and Fabrication / Construction personnel including preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, Interconnection Schedules, Hazardous Area Classification, Equipment Lay-outs, Cable Routing and Lay-out Drawings, Cable Trench/Tray Lay-out Drawings, Lighting System Lay-out and Details, Earthing / Lighting System Lay-out and Details, Heat Tracing Lay-out and Details, Installation Standard Drawings, Relay Coordination Drawings and other drawings and layouts as defined in the scope of project requirements.
Participate in MODEL review and Perform layout clash checks / interface checks, identify conflicts, take corrective action in coordination with other engineering discipline inputs.
Guide junior designers and prepare/review grounding and lightning layouts, cable tray layouts, cable tray section layouts, equipment layouts, lighting layouts, heat tracing layouts.
Prepare final layouts and drawing for installation and construction. Provide clarification, guidance and technical support to construction. Perform design changes and alterations based on Design Change Notices (DCN’s) when required.
Review of drafting time schedules and other requirements for execution of the work. Evaluate development method and software requirements; AutoCAD, PDMS and other relative software.
PDMS modelling of Electrical equipment viz., Local control stations, Power distribution board, Lighting distribution board, PMCC, Busbars, Transformers, Cable tray support, Sockets etc.
PDMS extracts (.dxf files) of different views and sections for AutoCAD. PDMS extracts of Grounding MTO, Cable tray MTO, Lighting MTO. Busbar MTO
