COURSE PROJECTS

PV generation enhancement with a virtual inertia emulator to provide inertial response to the grid, Florida International University May 2017-Oct 2017

●Implemented Super capacitor as a part of design to control the fast fluctuations in PV.

●Collaborated with a team of two persons

●Verified the simulation of Buck-boost circuit on Matlab by evaluating L and C components which was implemented to charge and discharge the Hybrid energy storage system.

●Generated PWM pulses using dSPACE-1104 and used the Control desk software to test it.

●Worked on Agilent Technology N5766A DC power supply to control the current by sending the commands.

So we concluded that there was a mitigation of power fluctuations with the use of hybrid energy storage system and virtual inertia.

Wireless handheld Cortisol Sensor, Florida International University March 2017-May 2017 A custom designed Potentiostat sensing circuitry was designed using Opamp LMP-7721 and ATmega328 microcontroller for Pico ampere current measuring capability and low power consumption. The potentiostat data via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module to POCortisol has been developed to display and process the variance in cortisol ultradian rhythms of individual patients and A Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) running Android 6.0.1. was used as the development device.

●Implemented a Potentiostat circuit, a handheld device with disposable printed electrode displaying current cortisol value.

●Worked on mobile app (POCortisol) to analyze the variance in cortisol ultradian rhythms.

●Simulated the circuitry in OrCAD.

●Employed MWNT-Cu-PP electrodes, in conjugation with MNP-AptC, which exhibited a significant reduction current around -0.4V.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Assistant Professor, Mumbai University (G.R. Coaching) Sept 2016-Dec 2016

●Taught Physics to Junior College level students, increasing the student’s performance by 30%

●Planned course structure including learning activities, assignments, examinations and grading criteria for students preparing for college

Instrumentation Engineer Intern, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, June 2015- August 2015

●Worked on a project “ The study and design of substation”

●Improvements were done in design of substation like Installation of Fire safety,CCTV,Battery

Room, Cable Trenches, Exit Routes, Access and illumination control, Fuzzy Logic Relay, Green Building Concept and Cooling and Ventilation systems

●Delivered lecture on Fuzzy logic relays regarding determination of the overcurrent time delay

Research Assistant, Florida International University May 2017-Present

● Working as a Research Assistant in the Energy, Power & Sustainability lab at FIU .
