SRQ Business Process includes market products & services, assess quality & customer needs, asses risk & quote business, generate proposal and prepare new business. Typical SRQ users are broker & employees for middle markets & national accounts, providers, sales executive underwriters, actuaries and senior executive.

GUIDE stands for the Group Underwriting and Integrated Development Effort system. It is one of Aetna’s Rating and Quoting Systems for HMO-based line of products.

Guide System is broadly classified into two categories:

Rating and quoting application which deals with Quote creation and Product inquiry.

Product and benefit application which deals with data setup for QRS and AQC.

GUIDE is the Rating and Quoting System for HMO-based line of products which Cognizant has developed to setup benefits and products for HMO plans of the Client. Since Microsoft had withdrawn active support for VB6.0 from March 2008, SCM VB6.0 was re-written into .NET with C# as a scripting language. It comprises four important modules such as Code Table Maintenance, PADU Manager, Template Manager and Contract Manager which is used by 3500 users actively for their local market to create contracts for the negotiation of the cost-effective payment rates for their providers. This project also successfully accommodated strategically important businesses in parallel. Due to expertise and in-depth application knowledge gathered during the entire life cycle of re-write enabled us to quickly take up new business requirements in within budget and on time delivery. This application interacts with other systems such as EPDB and SCSR. Technologies involved are C#, MS Access and DB2.
