Standardized hospital wide reports and reporting process out of PICIS suite and PS databases. Designed custom reports and empowered users to get to needed data.

Developed and implemented PICIS OR Manager and SMARTRACK reports in collaboration with IT

Analyzed all aspects of OR Manager deployment for over 800 workstations hospital wide to ensure smooth migration. Developed custom reporting solutions for users, as well as management in Crystal Reports, Business Objects (BO) and Business Intelligence (BI).

Documented workflows and executed comprehensive training plan to medical, nursing, and administration staff (more than 5000 people) that more than doubled EMR access (from 35% to 100%) and usage to 100%, which is used at NYP and Columbia Hospitals in all ORs and special procedure rooms.

Increased revenue by 19% or $250000 monthly through better billing via capturing charges faster and more accurately through ADT interface to EAGLE and EMR.

Deploying an ADT interface to better track inventory (Lawson interface)and by creating custom SAP Crystal reports the Perioperative Department saved over $350000 monthly through better inventory and loaned items tracking

Decreased the phone calls to Registration Department to a level sufficiently low to have two people reassigned to different duties. According to surveys this increased patient satisfaction by 45% and doctor satisfaction by 30%. Achieved by deploying an interface to pre-registration to HIM system EAGLE and creating custom reporting solutions in SAP Crystal, BO or Bi for users and administration.

Led hospital’s new EMR implementation of PICIS/OR MANAGER system at Cornell, Milstein, CHONY and Allen hospitals, as well as various other remote clinics and sites. Designed and launched “pre-load” training clinics, optimized training documentation prior to go-live and designed custom modifications to accommodate special needs. Saved NYP more than $500K annually with implementation of EMR

Led, configured, developed, and deployed Philips’ Compurecord OR documentation application for Anesthesia Department at Weill Cornell. Provided training and support to anesthesia staff in use and configuration of application obtaining 100% EMR documentation using the paper record for downtime situations only.

Managed Compurecord’s backend by deploying and configuring its ADT (to Eagle; HIM system) and LAB interfaces (to pathology/chemistry). Developed BI dashboards and SAP reports that enabled Anesthesia administration to do a better resource deployment; increased record accuracy of EMR by 70% and increased billing capture and revenue by 30% the equivalent of about $350000.

Standardized data reporting out of Provation Oracle EMR for the GI department by creating SAP Crystal reports or other solutions in BO or BI dashboards.
