SMT (and other) Machine Operator:

Set-up SMT machine, which includes machine adjustments and ability to perform set-up (feeder loading and changing) per the manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

Program machine with specific information to produce PC boards with LED’s (most recent SMT job)

Load materials into machines for production, adjusting machine speeds during production and inspecting the objects produced.

Operated the machine, which includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel and indicators, and understand how to replenish supplies and components per Standard Operating Procedures.

Completed shortage tags.

Cleaned and upkept machine per the Standard Operating Procedures.


Interpreted and read blueprints to determine materials requirements and machining instructions

Ran computer numerical control (CNC), used manual layouts and offset CNC to maintain proper tolerances

Transferred commands from servers to CNC modules using computer network links

Fitted, installed, aligned and secured tools, attachments, fixtures and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Checked to ensure that workpieces were properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation

Measured dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as verniers, calibers, micrometers and depth gauges, templates and fixtures

Stopped machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup or workpiece placement according to required machining sequences
