a)Managed to push daily coal output to 240tones per day. Contributing to 80% of the country’s coal production
b)High production enabled mine to export coal to Tanzania
c)Managed to change mines method from room and pillar which was labour intensive to open cast hence high tonnage realized
d)Maintained high production on low cost
e)Introduced a scrape yard store which worked pararell to normal store as away to cutting cost by setting up reclamation team.

f)Pushed production from 65tones a day to 180tones a day.

DETAILS
a)Underground mine development; instrumental in introducing- One man operator in raise mining (reduce cost).
b)Increase breaking efficiencies in flat ends i.e. 2, 1*2,0m from 1,2m to 1,4m per blast.
c)On big ends increased breaking efficiencies with jumbo drill machines to 2,8m per blast on 3,0m rounds.
d) Use of mine ventilation knowledge improved mine ventilation, reducing entry so to enable 2 blasts in 24hrs hence increase metrage and production.
e)Behind implementation of mult-skilling machine operator & production crews & setting bonuses for crews.
f)Boosting of scrapper tonnage linked up 2 scrapper hoes in series & it helped in tonnage recoup.
g)Chairperson of sectional safety environmental & health committees with a zero accident motto.
h)Worked hand in hand with technical dept. on grade control especially on issues of washer placement in various stopes/ boxes as means of grade control.

DETAILS
a)Planning of ventilation system (short & long-term) at Shabani mine- mineral mined was asbestos.
b)Exhaust air capacity through mine workings- was measured at 400/sec with over 200 auxiliary underground mine fans ranging in sizes from 381mmd to 572mmd.
c)At Mangula mines, mineral mined copper, was responsible for reducing re-entry period in production areas after secondary blasting, having found the re-entry period from 4hrs down to 15min, hence a boost in production.
d)At Lonrho Group of Mines mineral mined was gold. There were 9 mines at that time. The daily duties were as at Mangula and shabani respectively, but the difference is that this time I was on advisory capacity.
e)Ministry of Mines Zimbabwe: by this time I was the only ventilation officer in the country and my main role was: 1) to inspect all mines in the country as befits mine ventilation. 2) Assist in ventilation planning, both short/ long-term. 3) Make a follow up.
