Built and managed the in house Social Security department for people whom wanted to file for their Social Security disability/SSI/SVB.
Maintained client relations and documented any and all medical information necessary. Ordered all medical records and typed correspondence needed to process the cases in a timely manner. It was imperative to analyze all medical documentation for each case. Extensive research on each case was one of my obligations as the Case Manager.
Interviewing prospective claimants allowed for ask all the questions needed to fulfill all necessary paperwork needed to submit all claims. Helps to take time to understand the condition and medical history of the claimants to guarantee the best experience possible. By the end of the interviewing process I was able to make the decisions on how to proceed with each case.
Preparing and working on appeals and reconsiderations is very important and means retrieving more documentation and making them a priority in making sure the cases were handled properly along with deadlines are done in a timely manner.
Maintaining a positive attitude and engaging with others about the Social Security cases were very important. On a daily basis I had constant communication with the Social Security Administration and their representatives. Communication was of vital importance and maintaining a rapport with Social Security Dars examiners, Medical Personnel, local agencies, other law firms, paralegals was a daily requirement. I loaded all necessary information via the Social Security Government
website. I also had the privilege to represent our claimants before the Social Security Administrative Law Judges at the hearing level. I represented all claimants at the initial level, appeal level and the hearing level. I was very successful and received favorable decisions at the hearing level.
