Project title : Switching median filter

Duration : 1ST Feb 2015 to 11th April 2015.

Description : Digital image are corrupted by impulsive noise during image acquisition or transmission. The intensity of impulsive noise contain the tendency of being either

relativity high or low. So impulsive noise degrade the image quality and we loss the information details. To overcome the above problem impulsive noise detection mechanism have been imp1imented.In the impulsive noise detection mechanism if the pixels are identified as corrupted pixels undergo the filtering process, while the pixels are identified as uncorrupted pixels remain constant. In this project switching median filter incorportaing with powerful impulsive noise detection method called as boundary discriminative noise detection(BDND) is going to study implementation.
