LD Regression AMD:

This project is to test the AT&T’s Legacy Telegence Billing System used for AT&T Long Distance Billing. This product is a modified version of Amdocs Ensemble.

The project includes Regression Testing, System Integration Testing, System Testing and Performance Testing.

This project also Tests the Ancillary Applications for Telegence and Lightspeed (Another project in AT&T) including - Business Objects (BO), ODR and TDMS.

In Addition to these, ACBA – An ancillary application of AT&T CRM, is also being tested.

LD Regression Amdocs, is therefore composed of various projects like Price Plan Testing, Telegence LD, Telegence LS, ACBA, Performance Testing, LS OMS (Light Speed Order Management System) & hence these various projects are considered as different modules/buckets of the same project, working on environments like HP Unix, Oracle 9i and 11g, Power Builder Applications, Informatica, Tuxedo.

Brief: AT&T periodically rolls out new Price Plans on Telegence LD system. Before introducing new

plan to the market, end-to-end testing is performed to ensure price plan is working correctly.

Price plan determines the amount SBCLD charges for any call the customer makes. Telegence

automatically assigns a default price plan or a basic price plan to each voice and data product

to ensure that customers are billed for all their long distance calls.

Coordinate with the client for getting New Price Plan list

Planning with the team for sending deliverables on time.

Follow-up with the status report periodically.

Coordinate with the other team like DBA, Infra(operations), if needed during the execution of TCR (Table Change Request).

Conducting internal and external review.

Brief: Telegence LD is a comprehensive customer care and billing system for Long Distance

telephone services developed by AMDOCS. They name it as Ensemble & is designed for

SBC (Southwestern Bell Corporation, USA). Ensemble is a UNIX platform product with

Power Builder GUI and Oracle Database. It works with other SBC systems to provide

customer service representatives (CSRs) the tools to create and update long distance

customer account and product information. The Customer Service Management (CSM)

system is part of the Telegence LD system. CSM supports customer-related functions

& provides access to customer accounts and products for maintenance, additions,

& inquiry. The Telegence major components are CSM and PIC, SPLITTER, MAF, MPS,


Works on LD progression, LD Regression, LD SIT, LD Defects & LD ERF in every release.

Creation of Customer via CSM Online

Adding Product and Price Plan via JM / CSM.

Systems. While performing the ordering activities from OMS, the data is transferred from

OMS to TeLS CSM and from TeLS CSM to Enabler billing system. We call this functionality as notify

billing. In this project, we test the new functional changes regarding the notify billing functionality.
