MAIN PROJECT

Wireless Stair-Climbing Robot( Final year project)

Hardware tools: PIC Microcontroller, DC motor, RF Transmitter

Description: The number of physically disabled people is getting increased by every year due to aging progresses. The commercially used wheel chair don’t have a functionality to climb the staircase. We created the electrical prototype wheel chair system which can operate on staircase for disability people. The aim of this project is to design an electrical wheel chair with adjustable wheelbase for various dimensions of the stairs and the system provides locking mechanism to avoid slipping. We used DC motor with Gear box driver for robot movement and PIC microcontroller to perform the controlling operations. The robot can be controlled through remote via RF Transmitter. We were able to achieve the smooth ascending operations. But, while coming down from the steps,we found the vibration which is unbalancing the robot movement.
